CVS for Beginners!

I love this post from PennyPinchinMom because it deals what to do to get the most for your money.  Follow each transaction step-by-step and you'll make out!  I plan on doing exactly this:

If you are new to shopping at CVS, it can be tough to figure out how to get started.  I’ve listed out a few “getting started” transaction that you can easily do and pay little to nothing out of your own pocket.

TRANSACTION #1

$ 6.00 2 – Oral B Advantage or Cross Action Toothbrush
-  3.00  B1G1 Oral-B CrossAction Toothbrush 6/5/2011 P&G Insert (exp 7/31/2011)
$ 3.00 out of pocket for 2 toothbrushes, plus get back $2 in ECB

TRANSACTION #2

$ 5.99  Oral B Pulsar Toothbrush $5.99
-  3.00  $3/1 Oral-B Adult or Kids Battery Toothbrush 6/5/2011 P&G Insert (exp 7/31/2011)
-  2.00  ECB from Transaction #1
$ 0.99 out of pocket, plus get $3 in ECB

TRANSACTION #3

$3.99 Tampax Pearl Tampons
- 1.00 $1/1 Tampax Pearl or Compak Pearl 7/3/2011 P&G Insert (exp 7/31/2011)
- 3.00 ECB from Transaction #2
$0.00  (you will lose $0.01 in ECB), plus get $2 in ECB

So, to recap, you will end up with the following:

2 Oral-B Cross Action Toothbrushes
1 Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush
1 Tampax Tampons

Your total you will spend out of your own pocket will be $3.99, plus, you will still hae $2 in ECB – so a net of $1.99 out of your pocket for all of these items!  Remember that even if you don’t need something, getting a super deal makes it even better to donate to someone in need.
