- Groceries
- Printer Ink/Paper
- Gas - I have to get the stores for savings
- Coupons I purchase online
Here's TheCouponProject's and directions on how to use the GoogleDocs spreadsheet!
Want to know exactly how much store sales and coupons are saving you? Want to track your grocery spending against a budget?
I designed a handy spreadsheet to do just that! Below, you will find two different Excel versions and new to 2011, the long-awaited Google Docs template. You are welcome to use this for your PERSONAL USE. If you are a blogger, you are welcome to link to this feature on your site (please do not make the download available on your site).
I only use the GoogleDocs Template because it's easy and I can access it from any computer that has internet access!
You must have a Google account = gmail account to use the Template - Create a gmail account HERE
I login to my Gmail account via iGoogle.com
Click More on the black bar
Click Documents
Click Create - From Template...
Search Savings Tracker find the one from Angela Russel
Click Use this template button
Click Copy of Savings Tracker to rename the spreadsheet
Type in 2012 and Delete the words Copy of
Click OK
Now, you're in the spreadsheet - read the 1st page. Make note of the different tabs at the bottom
It's pretty easy to use, simply click on the month and enter your receipt!
example:
Click Summary tab at bottom - I try to budget $500 each month, I usually go over but I want to stay as close as possible to this amount! Let's enter $500 in the Goal cell for January and see what happens! Notice my Variance changed to $488.60. It get's this info from the January Spreadsheet automatically!
Let's go to the January sheet by:
Clicking January tab at bottom - I entered my purchase from TheCouponClippers (CC) - the top will change as you enter in your information! It's that easy! Everything calculates automatically. Notice I did not save anything with TheCouponClippers purchase. That's okay, because all of my other purchases will have savings.
Beginning with my Rite Aid purchase! I'll post my Rite Aid purchase of newspapers, etc. later today! I can't wait to see how much you're saving this month!
